Business Central Implementations for Manufacturers, Distributors, and Wholesalers

End-to-end BC implementations that go live on time, on budget, and reflect how your business actually runs. 15 years of NAV/BC experience — direct from the engineer who’ll do the work.

Who I Work With

SMB manufacturers

You run a discrete or process manufacturing business with 5-200 BC users. You need ERP that reflects your shop floor — not generic accounting software with a manufacturing module bolted on.

Distributors and wholesalers

Multi-warehouse inventory, complex pricing, customer-specific catalogues, EDI integrations. You need BC configured for the realities of distribution — not the textbook examples.

Failed-implementation rescues

A previous BC project went sideways. The vendor disappeared, the design doesn't fit, or critical features were skipped. I take over from where things stand — no judgement, no restart needed.

What's Included

A full BC implementation, end to end. No phase-2 surprises.

01 — Discovery & design

2-3 weeks of workshops. I document your processes, gaps, and customisation needs. Output: a written design spec you can approve before any code is written.

02 — BC configuration

Number series, dimensions, posting groups, item categories, manufacturing setup. All configured to match your design — not BC defaults.

03 — Data migration

Items, customers, vendors, BOMs, routings, open transactions, historical data. Validated against your source system.

04 — AL customisations

Production-grade extensions for anything BC doesn't do natively. Source-controlled. AppSource-ready code quality.

05 — User training

Role-based training sessions (operations, procurement, finance). Recorded for new starter onboarding.

06 — Go-live & hypercare

On-site or remote go-live support. 30 days of dedicated hypercare after launch.

The Implementation Process

Step 1 — Discovery (Weeks 1-3)
Process workshops, gap analysis, customisation specification. You sign off on the design before any build starts.

Step 2 — Build (Weeks 4-12)
Configuration, AL development, integrations, reports. Weekly demos so you see progress and catch problems early.

Step 3 — UAT & training (Weeks 13-16)
User acceptance testing, training sessions, parallel run if your data demands it.

Step 4 — Go-live & hypercare (Week 17+)
Cutover weekend support. 30 days of dedicated hypercare. Then transition to standard support or retainer.

Pricing

Implementations are quoted fixed-scope after the discovery phase. You see the full design and a fixed price before committing to the build — no open-ended bills. Pricing depends on customisation depth, data complexity, and integration count.
