04 — Integration rebuild
Each integration analysed, rebuilt for BC's REST/OData APIs where possible. Legacy ODBC kept where rebuild is unjustified.
05 — Reporting rebuild
Custom RDLC reports converted. Word layouts. Power BI rewired to new BC schema.
06 — Parallel run & cutover
Optional parallel run for risk-averse customers. Production cutover weekend support.
The Upgrade Process
Step 1 — Database & customisation audit (Weeks 1-2)
I scan your NAV database. Every custom object, every customisation, every integration. Output: a categorised list (keep / refactor / drop) with effort estimates.
Step 2 — AL conversion & build
Custom code converted to AL extensions in BC. Modular, source-controlled, AppSource-ready. Variable duration based on customisation volume.
Step 3 — Data migration
Production data migrated. Open transactions, balances, historical data, attachments. Validated against your live NAV.
Step 4 — UAT & cutover
User acceptance testing. Optional parallel run. Production cutover weekend with on-site / remote standby.
Pricing
NAV → BC upgrades are quoted fixed-scope after the audit phase. The audit itself is quoted separately and is credited against the build cost if you proceed with the migration. Final pricing depends on database size, customisation volume, and integration complexity.
